What is Saddle Fitting?

  • Our focus is specifically on Western Saddles and tack.
  • It is learning how to properly fit your saddle, with your horse.
  • It's learning Saddle fit for any saddle and any horse.
  • It's about teaching Saddle fit for your specific horse's body.
  • It's about what the saddle is made of. What type of tree and why.
  • It's about learning the signs that indicate a poor saddle fit.
  • It's teaching you how to check the saddle fitting issues that may be the cause for negative behaviors and/or soreness or injuries, before calling the vet or trainer.
  • It's learning if the saddle you have is good for your horse, or hurting your horse, and what can be done to remedy. It doesn't necessarily mean you need a different saddle.  There are things that can be done to help your fit.
  • Horses bodies change, and saddle fit needs to change with it.

Why does it matter?

Below are a few of the issues caused by improperly fitting saddle:

  • Soreness and even injury over time.
  • Unwanted or negative behaviors. Acting up or acting out.
  • Poor or lowered performance

We would love to partner with your organization, horse club, boarding facility, training facility, Cowboy Church, and/or training facility to put on a clinic for your people.

There is no charge to the host organization. We typically charge per attendee and offer benefits to the host, plus we will create advertising to share.  Length of Clinic is negotiable. Typically 4 hours, for horse and rider, with Audit option available.

Contact us for more information as to what a partnership might look like for you.
